Kathy Graves - guitar and vocals
Kat, known as Kathy Graves, is a singer, songwriter, guitarist who got her first guitar at the age of 10 and has never looked back. It was that first time seeing/hearing
The Beatles on TV that ignited that spark of music that created a life-long journey of music. Kat majored in music and became a music educator with 38 years in the classroom. She continued with her performance career playing with various bands both in the Midwest and on the East Coast as well as doing studio work in Chicago. Kat has now returned to her Midwest roots leaving the East Coast and teaming up with Jack Gaul to form the duo Kat and Jack (on the box), specializing in the music that has become the soundtrack of our lives.
Jack Gaul - vocals and percussion
Jack Gaul, percussionist and vocalist began his playing career while in elementary school and continued through high school playing in the high school band. This is
where he found his passion to become a drummer. He was highly influenced by the drumming skills of Neil Pert of Rush and Steve Smith of Journey, which has resulted in a 40 year career in music.Throughout his playing career, Jack has played in various bands with styles from country, trop rock and cover songs. He had the opportunity to play in the Shannon Band as an opening act for Clint Black. Jack has worked as a studio session player with various musicians recording original material. Constantly honing his skill as a percussionist and experimenting with rhythm, Jack is excited to be playing in a duo.
